Wireless and wired network issues

Networking can be a real pain in the arse. Here’s the equation: I have three computers. Computer 1 and 2 are connected by a crossover cat 5 cable. Computer 2 and 3 both have new Belkin 54g wireless cards in them. The wired connection works well. The ad-hoc wi-fi connection is erratic at the best of times. I have no idea what is going on with these things and I can’t seem to be able to bridge the connections properly. Ideally, 1 stays in my room, 3 stays in G’s room and 2 can go wherever. 2 can connect to the net (shitty old dial up) and both 1 and 3 can share the connection. Simple, eh? I wish. Only once have I seen all three visable on each computer’s network. Frustration abounds.
