Bonez and Stan arrested
It looks like the graffiti scene in Melbourne has lost at least two of its most prolific members, Bonez and Stan. I’m not a big fan of graffiti, particularly when it’s just tagging, but these guys are unbelievable. I don’t think I have seen a suburb in Melbourne that hasn’t borne the 70k tags. One of the first things I saw when I was up in Sydney was a big Bonez tag written across a run down storefront. It’s not just the sheer amount of work either, some of the tags have been in the most amazing places - tops of buildings, billboards, overpasses. Some have been massive too, going on the train from Southern Cross to Flinders Street you can spot some big tags on the tops of buildings.
So anyway, it looks like Melbourne’s big ‘crackdown’ has caught some big fish. As good as it is for them, it’s slightly disappointing from a viewers perspective.
Its nothing but pure Melbourne Madness. 70k Smashing it.
Thanks for that info, I have been watching their work for the past couple of years. THey are everywhere, still not my fav, that forever belongs to “This is a heavy product” guy.
