SMG’s Alice still alive, just
I heard rumours years ago that American McGee’s Alice was going to be made into a movie with Sarah Michelle Gellar and I was stoked about it then, but haven’t heard much since. However, now I read on Kotaku and elsewhere that SMG actually holds the rights (is this true?) and is set on doing something with them, things are looking much brighter. While the studio claimed a 2008 release, it’ll probably be years before we see anything (if at all, even with SMG’s promises), it’s still nice to know that there is still interest in the project.
I thought the game was very cool and, even then, thought that it would lend itself brilliantly to a movie. Somehow Alice in Wonderland works really well with a bizarre macabre twist, who’d have thought?
